Travel nursing is a satisfying, exhilarating experience and gives you the opportunity to visit places that you have never been to. But why would you want to travel and join a travel rn staffing team?
The American Nursing Association estimates that more than 20% of Registered Nurses in the U.S. are now traveling nurses. In this article we explore a few reasons why more RNs are turning their backs on having a traditional career and moving to travel nursing.

Registered Nurses are traveling more because they are looking for a change of pace and a new environment to work in. Some RNs have been working in the same area for years, and they want to try something different. They may also be looking for higher pay, more flexible schedules, or the opportunity to live somewhere else.
Making A Difference:
Registered nurses who travel can make a difference in their community by providing health care services to those who need it most. They can also improve their own health by being proactive about their own health and wellness.

In the end, it’s not hard to see why so many RNs might be turned off from practicing. It’s a stressful job with long hours and demanding responsibilities. And while travel nursing offers RNs the chance to escape the pressures of their day jobs, there are still a number of factors that could cause an RN to reconsider–whether it be something small like missing out on family time or larger issues like safety and immigration concerns. In the end, we can’t say for sure why so many are ditching their day jobs to start traveling full time. But whatever their reasons might be, we do hope that they find fulfillment both in their current professions and in their new one as well.
